Choir Practice

Choir practice will be held (most) every Thursday at 7:00 pm. New voices are always welcome!

Choir practice is on summer break until fall.

Vacation Bible School

KIDS! Get ready for an action-packed 5-day Rolling River Rampage on a "white-water rafting" adventure to experience the ride of a lifetime with God! VBS at Hopewell will be held July 23-27. Join us for dinner at 5:30 pm; the program will start at 6:00 and end at 8:00 each evening. Bring a friend and get ready to have lots of FUN!
We invite ALL children 3 years old to those who have just completed 5th grade are invited to participate; those in 6th grade and older are welcome to volunteer to assist during VBS. Children do not have to have an affiliation with our church (or any church) to attend this FREE Vacation Bible School program. We'd love to share our love of God with ALL children!

VBS Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are needed as Hopewell UMC presents "Rolling River Rampage 2018 VBS" from July 23-27. Opportunities include helping with dinner; class leader; music; science; crafts; and recreation. Please let us know if and how you can help as we help kids discover that life with God is an adventure full of wonder and surprise, and that they can trust God to be with them through anything!

Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm; the program will start at 6:00 and end at 8:00 each evening. Those preparing dinner should plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early to help prepare dinner. Kids who have completed 6th grade and older may volunteer to serve as assistants and helpers. Please sign up using the link below.

United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women meet the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm. All women are invited to join us.

There will be no meetings during July and August.

United Methodist Men

The United Methodist Men meet on the 3rd Monday of each month. All men are invited to attend.

Noodles are available for $2.50 a bag.

Bible Study

A new Bible Study (Real Followers by Michael Slaughter) will begin on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am (at Mary Louís). Books are available for $11. If anyone is interested in an evening Bible Study, please let Pastor Barb know (pastorbarbsalyers@yahoo.com).

5th Sunday - Ronald McDonald House

Our Fifth Sunday mission project for July is serving dinner at Ronald McDonald House on July 29. The church will provide baked chicken, Tom and Jane Lynch are donating green beans, and a 4-H club is donating fresh fruit and brownies. We are asking for donations of rolls, potatoes (for roasted potatoes) and several gallons of lemonade and tea. 5th Sunday - Ronald McDonald House

Donations can be dropped off at church the morning of July 29. Volunteers will need to be on site by 3:30 pm to begin prepping and cooking food. Dinner will be served from 5:30-7:00 pm, and we will need to clean-up before we leave.

RMH is located at 711 E. Livingston Avenue; there is free parking available across from the building.
